These changes are designed to help DoorDash partners find new customers, gain repeat customers, win business in their neighbourhood, and ultimately increase their bottom line.

Reach new customers and grow off-premise orders

If you’re looking to grow your delivery and pickup sales, we recommend our flagship product — DoorDash Marketplace. DoorDash has the most market share in the US according to Second Measure and a growing presence in Canada, Australia, and other countries.

Our flexible pricing includes three tiers of Partnership Plans that offer different price points based on the level of marketing support you need. Each DoorDash Partnership Plan includes:

  • Your choice of 15%, 25% or 30% delivery commission based on the tools included in the plan

  • 6% commission on Pickup orders

  • Zero credit card processing fees on DoorDash app orders

  • Online Ordering: commission-free online ordering for your website

  • $0 activation fees

We also offer all partners POS integrations, 24-hour customer support, and additional resources to drive growth, such as a free menu photoshoot and the option to add tailored marketing and promotions to get you in front of the right customers. DoorDash Basic: a cost-effective way to get started

If you want a cost-effective way to get on DoorDash, we recommend DoorDash Basic. This Partnership Plan includes:

  • Our lowest delivery commission rate at 15%.

  • Core marketing tools (e.g., listing your business on the DoorDash app, being discoverable in search, and getting featured in our algorithmic collections like “Fastest Near You” or “Local Favorites”). You can add additional marketing programs to boost your restaurant’s in-app visibility and increase orders as needed.

DoorDash Plus: expanded access to orders and customers 

If you want to grow your business while keeping costs down, we recommend DoorDash Plus. This Partnership Plan has a 25% delivery commission and includes: 

  • All the benefits of the Basic plan.

  • Plus DashPass, our top-performing marketing program (more on that below).

  • An expanded delivery area so you can reach more customers.

DoorDash Premier: maximize orders and new customers with an all-in-one growth package

If you want the most growth and marketing support, choose DoorDash Premier. With a 30% delivery commission, Premier now includes everything in the Plus pricing plan — plus built-in growth tools that help you reach more customers, convert more orders, and run more efficiently.

You’ll get:

  • Automatic ads support: DoorDash runs Sponsored Listings on your behalf, at no extra cost.

  • Professional food photography: a $200 credit to cover extras like food, styling, or setup — so your menu looks as good online as it does in person.**

  • Savings on DoorDash Commerce Platform Pro: up to 35% off DoorDash Commerce Platform Pro, giving you discounted access to loyalty, CRM, and online-ordering tools that grow direct sales and repeat customers.

  • Growth Guarantee: if you receive fewer than 20 orders in a month during your first 6 months on Premier, DoorDash refunds your delivery commission for that month.

The biggest benefit that we’ve noticed since being onboarded with the Premier Plan is being noticed by customers and expanding the clientele for the restaurant. Having the large delivery radius associated with our Partnership Plan has been very significant for growing our business with our partnership with DoorDash.

With an easy setup process, you can leverage DoorDash’s industry-leading software to power your online ordering and get access to Dashers to deliver orders. You just pay a standard payment processing fee, with no commission on orders placed through your website. 

Online Ordering is designed to drive higher sales with features like on-page checkout, recommended add-ons and modifications, and customizable menu photos and descriptions.

Get drivers to deliver orders placed on your own website/app

Reach DoorDash’s most engaged customers

We recommend adding DashPass, our membership program that allows the most engaged DoorDash customers to place orders from your business at reduced fees, by signing up for the Plus or Premier plans. With DashPass, high-value customers see your business first and pay lower fees when they order from you — at no added cost to you. Because DashPass customers order more often, and DashPass businesses get increased visibility in the DoorDash App.

We recommend exploring ads and promotions, marketing tools to help you improve your in-app placement, attract first-time customers, and create loyal regulars. You’ll also be able to dive into sales data to understand which campaigns drive the most ROI for your business. On average, businesses using our promotions see up to a 20% increase in DoorDash sales. 

DoorDash offers two types of marketing solutions depending on your needs:

  • Sponsored Listings: Reach new customers with ads that place your business at the top of relevant DoorDash search results. Pay only for customer purchases, not ad clicks or impressions.

¹Partnership Plans (Basic, Plus, Premier) are available for restaurants with 75 or fewer locations in Canada. 8% (Plus, Premier) and 10% (Basic) Pickup commission is available to all partners in Canada who comply with the DoorDash Merchant Terms of Service, including having DoorDash Pickup menu prices match in-store prices. 

²$50 Monthly credit available for eligible merchants in Canada on the Premier plan with a commission rate of 29% or higher. Beginning on the first day of a new month after a Merchant signs up for the Premier Plan, Merchants who spend $100 or more on ads or promotions (pre-tax) through the DoorDash platform during a calendar month will receive a $50 credit, which will be refunded to the Merchant in the Merchant’s first scheduled payout in the following month.
