What are the compliance and delivery requirements for alcohol items?
When selling alcohol items from your inventory, delivery follows DoorDash's alcohol compliance process:
Dasher pickup: Merchants must verify the Dasher is 21+ before handing off alcohol orders
Age verification at delivery: Dashers are prompted to check the customer's government-issued ID and confirm age and identity
Undeliverable orders: If a customer is underage, visibly intoxicated, unavailable, or unable to provide valid ID, the order will not be delivered
*Alcohol availability and delivery requirements vary by state and local regulations. Merchants must hold the appropriate liquor license that allows alcohol delivery in their location before adding alcohol items to their DoorDash inventory.
