Summer of DashPass is a limited-time program where DashPass customers get access to exclusive deals across meals and more. For participating merchants, this means increased visibility in the app and boosted promotions—funded by DoorDash at no extra cost—to help drive more orders.

What is Summer of DashPass?

Summer of DashPass is a limited-time program that helps increase your store’s visibility and drive more orders with DashPass customers

What’s the difference between the teaser and the core program?

  • The teaser is an early access period with standard placements and boosted promotions.

  • The core program includes more in-app visibility, stronger boosted promotions, and additional marketing support.

When does the program run?

  • Early visibility: 5/28/26–6/17/26

  • Core: 6/18/26–7/22/26

What do I need to qualify for Summer of DashPass?

To participate, you must:

  • Be enrolled in DashPass

  • Have a header photo

  • Have at least 25% menu photo coverage

  • Have a qualifying promotion running through 7/22/26

What kind of promotion do I need?

You need a qualifying discount promotion that is active during the program and runs through 7/22/26.

Qualifying promotions include Smart Campaigns, Discount for All Customers, Discount for New Customers, Discount for Lapsed Customers, or Happy Hour Discount.

Do I need to meet all requirements before the deadline?

Yes. All requirements must be completed before the deadline to be included in the program. The deadline for the teaser period is 5/19/26.

What happens if I miss the early visibility deadline?

You can still qualify for the core program by completing the requirements before the core deadline of 6/9/26.

If I qualify for early visibility, do I need to re-qualify for the core?

No. If you remain eligible (for example, your promotion stays active and you stay on DashPass), you will automatically be included in the core program.

What are boosted promotions?

Boosted promotions increase the discount customers receive on your promotion.

The additional discount is funded by DoorDash. DoorDash only boosts promos that are currently merchant funded. Promotions already set up with DoorDash co-funding can not receive an additional boost.

Do boosted promotions cost me anything?

No. You only pay for your original promotion. DoorDash covers the additional discount.

How much will my promotion be boosted?

Early: ~25% average boost

Example: You run “Spend $30, get $8 off” → DoorDash may boost it to “Spend $30, get $10 off”

Core: ~35% average boost

Example: You run “Spend $30, get $8 off” → DoorDash may boost it to “Spend $30, get $11 off”

How do I get a boosted promotion?

If you have a qualifying promotion running during the program, DoorDash will automatically apply the boost.

Do I need to create a new promotion to get boosted?

Not necessarily. If your existing promotion qualifies and runs through the program, it may be automatically boosted.

Who is the eligible audience?

This applies to U.S. small to medium sized restaurants who have an active storefront on DoorDash.

I already have a promotion — why am I not eligible?

Your promotion may not meet all requirements (e.g., end date, type, or timing).

How will my store be promoted?

Participating stores may receive:

  • Featured placements in the DoorDash app

  • Inclusion in Summer of DashPass collections

  • Increased visibility during high-traffic periods

Will I get more visibility during the core program than the teaser?

Yes. The core program includes additional in-app placements and increased marketing support compared to the teaser period, which can help drive more visibility for participating merchants.

Does this guarantee more orders?

While results may vary, boosted promotions and increased visibility are designed to help drive more traffic and sales.

Can I opt out?

You can opt out of the early visibility campaign by completing the opt-out form you would have received via email.

What happens if I don’t opt out?

If you take no action, your store will remain in the program and receive boosted promotions.

Why do I need to be on DashPass?

DashPass is required to participate in Summer of DashPass and helps increase your visibility to customers who order more frequently on DoorDash.

How do I enroll in DashPass?

You can add DashPass directly in the Merchant Portal by clicking on Solutions in the navigation bar and locating it in the Grow Online section.

Am I automatically included if I qualify?

Yes. If you meet the requirements, your store will automatically be included.

How do I create or update my promotion?

You can create or edit promotions in the Promotions section of your Merchant Portal.

What if my promotion ends before the program ends?

You’ll need to extend your promotion so it runs through 7/22 to stay eligible.

How can I check if my promotion is working?

You can download a Marketing report in the Merchant Portal.

In this report, you can see: return on ad spend (ROAS), customers reached, order value, advertising fees, and more for Promotion and Sponsored Listing campaigns.

  1. Log into the Merchant Portal and select Reports in the menu

  2. Press the red Create report button on the top right.

  3. Select Marketing report and click Next

  4. Select Marketplace as the channel you want a report on

  5. Choose if you want this to be a one-time report, or a recurring report throughout the duration of this promotion

  6. Select a start and end date within the last two years

  7. Select Promotions as the category you want to include

  8. Click Create report

  9. You will receive an email when your report is ready for download. Once created, reports can be accessed from the Reports section for 7 days.
